Fons Dewulf

Currently, Fons Dewulf investigates the emergence of anglophone philosophy of science as an independent subdiscipline of professional philosophy and the impact of this emergence on the methods and aims of philosophy of science and on its relation to the sciences and society. In his previous work, Fons has focused especially on the intellectual shifts that occurred in logical empiricist philosophy during the intense period of migration before the Second World War. His work has been published in, among others, Philosophy of Science, HOPOS, the British Journal for the History of Philosophy, and Journal of the History of Ideas.
