Claudia Cristalli

Claudia Cristalli is postdoctoral fellow within the project “Exiled Empiricists: American Philosophy and the Great Intellectual Migration” at Tilburg University. She was previously Mellon post doc researcher in the department of History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine at Indiana University, Bloomington (2020-2022). She has a PhD from the Science and Technology Studies department at UCL, London, and a MA in philosophy from the University of Pisa, Italy. She is interested in classical American pragmatism, the history of psychology, scientific methodology (particularly theory of measurement), contexts of knowledge production, and in the history and philosophy of medicine. Claudia has won the MAPS Postgraduate Research Prize and the Cheiron Young Scholar Award and her work has been published in, among others, HOPOS, Studies in History and Philosophy of Science, and the European Journal of Pragmatism and American Philosophy.
